Brief Bio: Born and raised in Michigan with 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Met my future husband in college and we were baptized together and married one year later. After college, my husband accepted a job teaching in North Carolina and not being able to secure work in the social work area, I went back to Western Carolina University and picked up my educational classes for teaching. I soon found out that teaching was actually “social work!” I have taught a variety of grades ranging from 3rd to 8th, and Bible in 9th – 10th. In 2010, the Lord blessed me by being honored as a Southwestern Union Teacher of the Year. I believe strongly in Christian education and the children in my classroom are very special and it is a privilege for me to be their teacher.
